The ACLU’s lawsuit against the government that sought to seek answers and justice for families and children has now found that justice. According to reports, a settlement has been reached in connection to the suit first brought from the Trump Administration.

Back during the Trump administration, Trump infamously and unlawfully separated scores of children from their parents. The migrant children were separated for months if not years on end before finally being reunited with their families.

One point of the lawsuit was that if Trump wins next year he will not be able to reinstate the separation policy if the settlement is approved by a judge. If approved, the ban would go into effect for at least 8 years.
