ScarJo is suing Disney for releasing Black Widow on Disney Plus

Because she says the move has deprived her of compensation that normally would’ve been based off of box office performance(s). In a new lawsuit filed against The Walt Disney Company, the movie star claims that the company knowingly profited off of a streaming move (moving the film to the same day release as theatres v Disney Plus) which tore into her earnings at the box office.

“In short, the message to and from Disney’s top management was clear: increase Disney+ subscribers, never mind your contractual promises, and you will be rewarded,” says the lawsuit. It is the first known suit of its kind against a studio for moving more towards streaming, some of which, was largely brought on by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Families however are certainly enjoying the ability to see new movies at home according to scores of social media posts across Twitter and Facebook.
