Dangerous situations are unfolding across airlines nationwide and now people are wondering rightfully so if it is safe to fly. According to reports, a Delta passenger apparently tried to storm the front of the plane demanding that the door be opened midflight (which is generally scientifically impossible unless you are like Hercules strong.)
According to authorities, a Delta flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta found itself docking in Oklahoma City against the backdrop of an unruly passenger who tried to essentially takeover the plane. Witnesses aboard the flight — who were quick to take to social media — shared videos that appeared to show a man threatening to open the cockpit door among other terroristic like threats.
The man has been identified as James Duncan, who is also a Delta employee himself and may have been suffering from a mental health crisis at the time. It is unclear what happened following the plane landing in Oklahoma City via an emergency landing.
Thanks to the crew and passengers of Delta Flight 1730 (LAX to ATL) who assisted in detaining an unruly passenger as the flight diverted to Oklahoma City (OKC),” Delta said in a statement.
