A number of bank branches are being shuttered further leaving Americans with limited access to very basic financial services. According to firms like PNC, that firm alone is set to close 19 branches.
Regulatory filings show that Americans will soon have quite a few less banks to bank with as branches across several banks get the boot. Filings show that this week PNC informed regulators 19 locations are riding off into the sunset; Chase will close four but open 12, Citizens Bank will shutter about six, but the list is long.
Records show that in PA 5 locations were affected, followed by Illinois with four, with potentially more expected.
Pennsylvania has five closures in total, followed by Illinois with 4, and Texas coming in next with 3.

All 6 branches it filed to close are in New York State.
Bank of America
Will be closing four locations similar to chase.
First National
Will be opening a new location.
