Eric Adams now wants to boot homeless people from the streets of NYC, but won’t say where encampments are headed

Mayor Eric Adams is once again making headlines and this time for a very serious comment he made. According to reports, Adams intends to boot homeless encampments from the streets of New York City indefinitely “block by block” but it is unclear where said people will be sent considering there are now more than ever before.

The disclosure of such plans appears to have come by way of a New York Times interview where Adams made the comments. Those moved from the encampments *may* be offered wraparound services and intervention help to get them into shelters — but the local government cannot actually force these things upon people as it is against the law.
