Checking in on the ongoing UAW strikes (and so far workers are coming out on top)

The ongoing UAW strikes the have plagued the nation’s 3 biggest automakers appear to be coming out well in favor of workers. According to reports, the UAW Union announced this week that Stellantis caught up with other neogitstioms with a much better offering. GM, however, appears to still jenturbonly holdout.

Reports suggest that GM’s current contract on the table comes with about a 23% pay increase for starters. But the union and its members are standing firm on their belief that they can get more from ‘these very profitable companies.’

Some labor experts have suggested that the additional successful agreement is a positive sign that the strikes may soon be over.
