The NYPD and its often annoying; sometimes even abusive, and otherwise problematic police force is now facing a larger problem of its own. According to the New York Post, memos went out as the weekend arrived notifying retiring officers of how to arrive at the police plaza to fill out their paperwork. Retirements will be divided into groups — those who have more than 20 years on the job and those in which do not.
Rumours of mass retirements have been all but certain. New York City is just hours away from losing large swathes of its police force; firefighters, and other critical social services simply because these people don’t want the COVID-19 jab and instead are OK with jeopardizing those around them.
