One of the last holdouts preventing Joe Biden ‘s massive spending bill from going through is in fact still Kyrsten Sinema. Sinema though now appears to have in closed door meetings with the White House reaffirmed that she in no way will support raising taxes on corporations and or the wealthy as means to help bring in revenue for the bill. Taxing the “rich” as it is often put has been one of the Democratic Party ‘s key components and talking points since last year.
“She’s smart as the devil,” Biden said at a CNN town hall in Maryland. “She’s very supportive of the environmental agenda in my legislation…. Where she’s not supportive is she says she will not raise a single penny on taxes for the corporate side and/or on wealthy people, period. And that’s where it sort of breaks down.”
