A third wave that could pose dramatic consequences to an economy and country already deeply battered by the Coronavirus. According to NBC News, the director Rochelle Walensky has come forth with claims that doom may be on the horizon for the United States.
“I’m speaking today not necessarily as your CDC director, and not only as your CDC director, but as a wife, as a mother, as a daughter, to ask you to just please hold on a little while longer,” Walensky said. “I so badly want to be done, I know you all so badly want to be done. We’re just almost there, but not quite yet. And so I’m asking you to just hold on a little longer to get vaccinated when you can, so that all of those people that we all love will still be here when this pandemic ends.”
Allot of states are seeing quite a rise in cases once again as travel takes flight in the United States. With governors especially in Republican led states loosening restrictions amid claims the virus is a hoax — the CDC is concerned that such will inevitably lead to unecessary further spikes. The CDC is also concerned amid reports that several new potentially deadlier variants have been found.
