A rare monkey virus is making its way through China, now the first known recorded death

A virus called “Monkeypox” (yes that is a real thing) is making its way through the sounds of China. According to Chinese media reports, the first known recorded death from such a virus. Formally known as “Monkey Virus B” the virus is considered fairly rare among humans with less than 100 reported case so far. But it is worth noting that the 53-year-old man contracted the virus earlier on from dissecting two monkeys for reasons that aren’t entirely clear.

The Weather Channel points out that the virus is catching allot of attention considering the current state of the current pandemic which also came from a non-human species resulting in a species jump. The CDC maintains that it likely can’t spread and there is nothing to worry about.
