According to the organization in its Illinois chapter, the organization is preparing to launch a 37 foot RV that will go along the border to Kentucky and other nearby states where abortion is illegal. It will do so to offer the service to women so long as they simply cross the border into Illinois where it is legal — something the opposing states cannot stop them from actually doing according to numerous legal analysts and reports.
The AP reports that the RV is set to arrive in Illinois sometime in the next few weeks and is expected to be operational by the end of the year. It will initially offer medication abortions up to 11 weeks gestation. Further information was not disclosed due to security and heightened safety concerns.
