GOPer Kevin McCarthy has officially been voted in as Speaker of the House. According to CNN, McCarthy finally secured the required number of votes after all but selling out the chamber to the extreme right.

The vote comes against the heels of a series of concessions to hard right rebels who sought to bring their extremist policies to a nat’l point.
