Infamous Brooklyn driver Miriam Yarimi in her first court appearance since her hospital stay has entered a plea. According to reports, she has pled not guilty.
The Lowdown
According to the case against Yarimi, the terrible driver pled not guilty in a Brooklyn courtroom on Wednesday in her first formal court appearance since she was hospitalized. Yarimi was previously hospitalized after a series of bizarre statements to paramedics who tended to her at the scene of the crash.
She pled not guilty to a 20-count indictment. The offenses include: manslaughter in the second degree, criminally negligent homicide, reckless driving and other offenses.
At the scene of the crash, Yarimi infamously told paramedics that the ‘devil was in her eyes.’ She was knowingly driving an Audi A3 with a suspended license at the time of the crash that killed an entire family (all but the young son.)
Lawyers for the disgraced Brooklyn Mom tried to get her released pending her next hearing although she will remain in jail per judge’s orders until 11 June.
