Sort of like an uber style surge pricing New Yorkers are in for a rude awakening. According to reports, the $9 congestion fee isn’t quite what it seems.

The Lowdown

According to reports, NYC’s upcoming congestion pricing has one little perk for the state. On ‘gridlock’ days which basically are ‘surge pricing’ days the $9 fee actually goes up to $11.25 a 25% surge increase.

Congestion pricing is set to begin next month.
