And by chance if you had weaponizing Congress and or the government on your bingo card — you won. Following Trump’s arraignment, House speaker Kevin McCarthy has now threatened Alvin Bragg with a dubious Congressional investigation into the investigation that landed Donald Trump in hot water.
In his latest attack on Bragg, McCarthy continued to dubiously claim that the charges against Trump are politicized and not real.
Alvin Bragg is attempting to interfere in our democratic process by invoking federal law to bring politicized charges against President Trump,’ he wrote on Twitter.
‘(His) weaponization of the federal justice process will be held accountable by Congress,’ the GOP leader added.
In the same breath, McCarthy’s office hasn’t answered press questions about when such an investigation would be launched.
