Two of America’s worst grocery stores, Albertson’s and Kroger, are in talks to merge

Striking what would become one of the biggest grocery titans there ever was. According to reports, the two chains are in talks to merge creating a $47B grocery store titan. Kroger is already the largest grocery chain in America followed by its biggest rival Albertsons.

Kroger operates thousands of stores across 35 states under its name itself and numerous others. Those include Smith’s, Fred Meyer, Ralphs, King Soopers and Harris Teeter. Sources made the initial reveal to The Daily Mail in the midst of the talks, though the information is scant at this time assuming investors don’t want the deal to fall apart.
