Jury deliberations have begun in the capital case against school shooter Nikolas Cruz

The storied case against school shooter and killer Nikolas Cruz is coming to an end. This afternoon jury members began their final deliberations in the capital case against Cruz, which will either see him sentenced to life in prison or to death.

Last year, Cruz pleaded guilty to the heinous murders of 14 students and 3 staff members that took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School out in Florida. It is the deadliest school shooting ever to go to trial in the United States. The sensational case has gripped followers; victims’ families and other members of the public considering it saw the admission that Cruz had planned it years in advance.

Previously in the trial it came forth that Cruz had first begun thinking about a school shooting 5 years before he actually did it adding a sense of terror to the already terrifying case.
