Taco Bell ‘s past inventions have certainly been among the questionable. But this time around the chain is trying to apologize for its overzealous attempt at breakfast in the past (looking at the Naked Taco here for example.) To issue that apology, a new video ad is out and it enlists Davidson with a more ordinary menu.
“We honestly over-innovated in breakfast,” admitted Sean Tresvant, Taco Bell’s chief brand officer, in an exclusive interview with CNN. “When you look at today’s consumer and the [fast food] breakfast business, it’s about familiarity and it’s about comfort.”
