U.S to ends it free at home COVID-19 test program as fall surge is dead ahead

Federal authorities have announced that the U.S’s free at home COVID-19 testing program is coming to an end. This program had notably provided up to 16 at home tests for people across the United States during th surge earlier this year though another is set around the corner. Officials are already anticipating a Fall surge in cases.

“Ordering through this program will be suspended on Friday, September 2 because Congress hasn’t provided additional funding to replenish the nation’s stockpile of tests,” the Covid.gov website reads.
