If you got pandemic unemployment in New York City, you need to see this right now

Eagle-eyed readers brought us a story most need to see right now. According to the New York State Department of Labor, New Yorkers who received PUA (pandemic unemployment) from about December 2020 onward must submit documentation back to the agency by June 1st or will have to repay benefits from that point until they ended. These documents according to this link can be among the following:

Proof of employment

Proof of attempts to find employment

Proof of self employment or the intent to start such (biz plans; license, or other related documents.)

The Department has mentionend this on their own Twitter page and it is important that if you received PUA benefits of any kind even a few bucks — that you follow these instructions.
