But it does not appear that she is in the running to remain Speaker of the House. According to the Huff Post, the 81-year-old speaker has announced on her social media pages that she is in fact seeking Congressional re-election as a member of the Democratic Party.

While we have made progress much more needs to be done to improve people’s lives. This election is crucial: nothing less is at stake than our Democracy.
