COVID infections may increase the risk of diabetes in children: Reports

People under the age of 18 have a reported higher risk of developing diabetes. According to a new study by the CDC, those under that particular age are at a much higher risk of developing type 1 or type 2 diabetes after recovering from the often deadly Coronavirus.

The study “highlights the importance of COVID-19 prevention strategies, including vaccination, for all eligible persons in this age group, in addition to chronic disease prevention and management,” the researchers state.
