Everything you need to know about that now identified teenage girl killed by the LAPD in a Burlington dressing room

Burlington Coat Factory is finding itself in the news for reasons no store wants to have to deal with. Over the weekend in Los Angeles a teenage girl identified as Valentina Orellana-Peralta who was minding her business trying on clothes.

Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore said late Thursday….

“This chaotic incident resulting in the death of an innocent child is tragic and devastating for everyone involved. I am profoundly sorry for the loss of this young girl’s life and I know there are no words that can relieve the unimaginable pain for the family,” he said.

The young girl, 14, has been identified as Valentina Orellana-Peralta according to additional reports. Because the shooting involved an officer it is being investigated by further state officials. A suspect-officer shooting with a man who is understood to have assaulted another woman appear to be the result of her being struck by an officer’s bullet.
