America is set to welcome residents from the continent once again. According to the White House, the WH is prepping to lift the travel restrictions that were previously put in place against at least 8 African countries. Those restrictions came as the new omicron variant was not only discovered but almost with breakneck speed began travelling throughout much of the accessible world.
WH spokesman Kevin Munoz confirmed on social media that the restrictions would be lifted beginning New Year’s Eve. America has been particularly hit hard by the omicron variant with large swathes of the unvaccinated among the most admitted for hospitalisation.
