At least two families who lose loved ones in the helicopter crash that killed sports legend Kobe Bryant have settled with the LA county. According to reports, county executives and their lawyers have reportedly agreed to a $2.5m lawsuit settlement in response to at least two federal lawsuits against the city. The original lawsuits had claimed that Los Angeles County police officers and firefighters had illegally taken photographs of the crash and sent them to paparazzi.

This does not directly include Vanessa Bryant ‘s lawsuit against the city which remains going forward. If approved by a judge the settlement is as follows: $1.25 million to Matthew Mauser, whose wife was killed. Another $1.25 million will be shared by J.J. Altobelli and Alexis Altobelli, siblings who lost their mother, father and 14-year-old sister.
