At least for now anyway. According to reports out of the Texas capital, the controversial bill that sounds like something out of a dystopian movie — is set to get its time in the light after all.

Though there may be a twist. The Washington Post reports that a number of Democrats returned this week to the legislative arena triggering the quorum needed for Republicans to push through their bill.

Dems though claim that they are only back because the White House allegedly agreed to look into voting legislation they would effectively Trump the bill.

It’s time to get back to the business of the people of Texas,” Speaker Dade Phelan said on the floor when the House convened, per the Texas Tribune. “I appreciate every one of you. I’m looking forward to working with you over the coming week or two.” It was the longest stretch without a quorum—38 days—in the history of the Texas House.”
