New York City was originally the epicenter of the Coronavirus and then managed to overcome the first two waves of COVID but now may be in for the next. According to CBS New York, Mayor De Blasio is reportedly exploring new mask guidelines as the Delta variant spreads and unvaccinated rates remain rather high.

CBS reports that the guidelines come as the Delta variant is spreading across the United States and at a time when federal guidelines also are on the line. The White House is preparing messaging and announcements that will see federal workers regardless of their location required to get the vaccine or test up often. Further in the announcement(s) it is expected that the White House will push localities in the United States to begin offering incentives to get jabs in arms.
