The White House is on the offensive this week amid reports that the Taliban is seriously gaining ground Afghanistan after U.S troops pulled out in the dead of night. According to the AP, the White House has condemned criticism as nothing more than just that. In fact, President Biden himself feels it is long past the time to end the Afghan war. Though ending that war as the world is seeing right before our eyes appears to have deadset millions of Afghan people into the sights of danger.

“I will not send another generation of Americans to war in Afghanistan, with no reasonable expectation of achieving a different outcome.” Biden said per the AP. It remains unclear if the local Afghan government actually has the capacity to take on the Taliban as Afghan military members were seen this week surrendering to the terrorist group.
