NYC ‘s subway system is back though rising crime underground is becoming a real problem and a threat to others. As of today, the city’s 24 hour service is officially back though riders may notice an increase in cop presence down below. In the last week — multiple people have either been stabbed; robbed, pushed onto the tracks, or flat out sexually harassed while trying to get to their destinations.
Commuters should remain alert at all times and stand away from the edges in the event a stranger approaches you. You can always reach the transit police quickly and securely on Twitter or social media if you’re uncomfortable calling the NYPD directly.
