The Israeli military might’ve made a mistake in attacking a high rise building housing members of the press; Al Jazeera, and the U.S owned Associated Press.
As the weekend kicked off, rockets were announced in the area that confirmed the building was under attack. It took all of a few minutes for the long standing half commercial half residential building to come down.
International condemnation soon followed. In most countries, attacking members of the press or protected individuals is largely frowned upon. Though in the political climate we now live in — it is unclear if the U.S or Qatar intend to respond to the attacks on the building.
The AP reports that they narrowly avoided a major loss of life. An hour before the reported attack the Israeli military phoned to confirm they were going to blow up the building.
