And that’s a question that might make sense to allot of people. Realty Winner, who is set to be released from prison in November, wants the government to explain why she has been in jail longer than accused Russian spies. The Uprising notes that they got a question from Reality Winner ‘s Mom who then asked Jen Psaki the same question only for it to be declined.
The question references that of Maria Butina, a Russian spy who was sentenced to all of 18 months for crimes against the United States. Butina was then quickly deported and never heard from or tried again at any point.
Reality Winner is expected to be released in November but may be sent to a halfway house long before that.
