Durham North Carolina is getting a new high profile tenant. According to Apple Inc, the tech giant has revealed plans for a massive $1B campus that is expected to bring upwards of 3,000 jobs with it. The new campus joins a chorus of cities that already have gotten their own versions of Apple campus and those who are also slated to get theirs in the future. Austin Texas was the first of many to get announced with an expected opening date of next year.
The other hot spots to get a spot – San Diego; Culver City, Calif.; Seattle; and Boulder, Colo. “Apple is doubling down on our commitment to US innovation and manufacturing with a generational investment reaching communities across all 50 states,” CEO Tim Cook says in a release.
