The DOJ is investigating alleged payments Matt Gaetz made to women for sexual purposes

But it gets pretty weirder from that headline on. According to a bombshell story in the New York Times, Matt Gaetz has been busted as an apparent online sex hound who sends payments to people via Cashapp and Paypal. The story broke on Friday almost immediately sparking a much larger discussion. A discussion that has and likely will allegedly lead to the arrest of Congressman Gaetz.

Editors note: This story contains elements of allegations that appear to be criminal.

The Times claimed in the original story that Gaetz and Mr. Greenberg (the former Seminole County tax preparer) were hand-in-hand working together linking up with women and at least one alleged minor for sexual purposes. The links would reportedly happen after being procured off of the internet but paid for by digital means rather than cold-hard cash in person.

Of course as expected the allegations are very serious.

Two separate sources have since spoken to CNN revealing even further sordid details about Gaetz’s apparent long known wild behavior. The sources chimed in to CNN alleging that Gaetz is known to show off photographs of naked women, er, women he’s apparently had trysts with in numerous places across the United States.

More from the Times bombshell initial claim:

In encounters during 2019 and 2020, Mr. Gaetz and Mr. Greenberg instructed the women to meet at certain times and places, often at hotels around Florida, and would tell them the amount of money they were willing to pay, according to the messages and interviews.

One person said that the men also paid in cash, sometimes withdrawn from a hotel ATM.

Some of the men and women took ecstasy, an illegal mood-altering drug, before having sex, including Mr. Gaetz, two people familiar with the encounters said. The claims of course come at a time that it is being revealed that hardly anyone actually wants much to do with Gaetz in Washington lending a hard blow to his hopes to stay in office.
