Boohoo — perhaps one of the internet-sphere ‘s biggest fashion retailers has found itself in the midst of trouble amid reports that it stole a design from a popular Black designer. According to Buzzfeed News, a design named “Gaia” was stolen by Boohoo which appears to have originated from Fisayo Longe — a Black designed based in London known for Kai Collective.

Her “Gaia” design has been seen on pretty much anyone who is anyone in the influencer community; Saweetie, and other big names in Hollywood. Boohoo, on the other hand, ripped off the design and put it on an unauthorized model without the permission of Longe. Last November — Longe was granted the copyright to the design shortly after it had originally blew up online.

Boohoo did also to Buzzfeed News not return phone calls for comment but has since removed the stolen design from their Instagram.
