Los Angeles County police officials have confirmed that sports legend Tiger Woods will not actually face charges in the near fatal accident that almost killed him. According to NBC News, Woods’ accident has been fully declared an accident and it is not suspected that he was drunk or in any way under the influence.

“We don’t contemplate any charges whatsoever. This remains an accident. An accident is not a crime. They do happen, unfortunately,” Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva told reporters Wednesday.
