A spate of suicides among kids in Vegas may lead to school’s re-opening

Lending credence to the concerns that COVID-19 could spike even more if school ‘s re-open granted kids are struggling. According to local news reports, the Clark County School district is considering re-opening their school district amid more than 16 student-related suicides since lockdowns began. School officials maintain that the suicides are related entirely to COVID lockdowns but there really isn’t any affirmative way to confirm that.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that it is unclear how many would come back but there is a plan in place otherwise to begin bringing small groups back. Groups that they say would need emotional support apart from small group academic instruction.
