The federal government has given a Christmas gift to federal workers early. According to the feds, Christmas Eve is now a legal federal holiday after Donald Trump (the outgoing President) signed an order designating the day as such. This means that federal workers will be given a full day’s pay and still have the day off.

“All executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government shall be closed and their employees excused from duty on Thursday, December 24, 2020, the day before Christmas Day.” the order formally reads.
