Despite a nationwide surge in COVID-19 cases in the United States (and a surge in NYC itself) NYC is set to once again re-open its schools. According to betrothed mayor Bill De Blasio ‘s office, schools will begin phased re-opening on 7 December smack dead in the middle of what is expected to be a dark and cold winter.

The following grades 3-k, Pre-k, and K-5th grade will all begin phased re-opening at that time. Parents will be expected to sign consent forms for students attending class once again, although it remains to be determined just how many will allow their students to return.
