Los Angeles County is once again under a mass stay at home order. According to gvoernment officials, Friday marked at least the second time the city has had to do so against the backdrop of soaring Coronavirus cases. Those cases can now partially be attributed to the arrival of holiday travelers but largely they existed before. Thanksgiving travel is only believed to be readying to ignite them even further.

“As new Covid-19 cases remain at alarming levels and the number of people hospitalized continue to increase, a temporary Los Angeles County health officer order will be issued to require additional safety measures across sectors,” the county’s health department said Friday.

This means that residents can expect reduced service; capacity, and the like from businesses ranging from restaurants to personal care services like spas and gyms. It will be in effect until 20 December. Outdoor gatherins and such from people beyond a single household are prohibited.
