There’s a huge *huge* exodus happening in NYC ‘s public school system

In the midst of struggling leadership in the midst of the pandemic, New York City ‘s school system is feeling the exodus. According to the New York Post, some 31,000 people have taken their kids out of the public school system amid growing fears of the Coronavirus and confusion over attendance. NYC has struggled to maintain a consistent schooling schedule amid the Coronavirus also having flip-flopped numerous times on the protocools themselves.

Chalkbeat reports that the exodus is continuing and parents are either taking their kids to private schools or flat out going full home-school. In the age of the Coronavirus, it makes sense considering schools are once again expected to close tomorrow.
