Parts of Brooklyn, Queens have been ordered to shutter schools and non-essential businesses

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK —- Parts of Queens spanning clear to Brooklyn all will be placed under mandatory lockdowns of varying forms beginning this week. On Tuesday, Gov Cuomo announced a color-coded system that essentially would pretty much explain to the ordinary New Yorker how the lockdown will work.

According to the Governors office, the following map (spanning red zones to light yellow) are the affected areas and will see lockdowns begin within their neighborhoods.
