Tropical Storm Gonzalo is heading for the East Coast, here’s what you need to know

According to the National Weather Service — a huge storm is forming about 1,200 miles off the coast of Florida near Barbados and Puerto Rico. The storm is expected to become a hurricane by later today as it manages to barrel towards the eastern U.S.

It remains unclear whether or not the storm will actually make landfall in Florida at this time.
