Mask policy at Georgia Tech has students and professors up in arms

Locals; students, and professors at Georgia Tech are up in arms this week amid reports that Georgia Tech is preparing to welcome students back in the fall. However — according to NPR the school intends to allow students back on campus without social distancing measures or even mandatory masks.

According to NPR, the school wants the right to make decisions on their own however the University of Georgia system itself feels partially otherwise. The dispute over how students may come back has left many feeling weary of returning to campus in a state recording thousands of new cases a day. In the fall (particularly during flu-season) that number will likely dramatically increase.
