Adidas: It’s time to own up to the fact we’ve done little for the black community directly

Legendary clothing and trainer brand Adidas has revealed itself to be what most already likely knew: lacking in the actually supporting local black communities department. Last night, Adidas took to the web to admit to the fact that they’ve benefited from black athletes and the like but have done very little to benefit black communities directly.

The revelation comes amid brands; influencers, and the like being called out for their otherwise lack of actual support for the black community.

“For most of you, this message is too little, too late,” the company tweetedWednesday. “We’ve celebrated athletes and artists in the Black community and used their image to define ourselves culturally as a brand, but missed the message in reflecting such little representation within our walls.”
