Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms — following her large presence during the George Floyd protests is now a top contender for Vice President of the United States. According to Axios, she and Rep Val Demings have joined the list of the top contenders as the protests have put the spotlight on Biden ‘s aforementioned need to have a black woman on his ticket.

Both women now respectively place 6 and 7 on the list of those in the running to become Vice President (if Biden wins.)
