Just a week after De Blasio implemented one of the most bizarre policies New York City has ever seen, the betrothed policy has now ended. According to the Mayor ‘s office, the 8pm curfew citywide has now been ended effective immediately.
“New York City: We are lifting the curfew, effective immediately,” Hizzoner tweeted, ending the planned final night of the city shutting down.
“Yesterday and last night we saw the very best of our city. Tomorrow we take the first big step to restart,” he said of Phase 1 of the four-part plan to end the coronavirus lockdown.
“Keep staying safe. Keep looking out for each other,” he wrote.
